Here's what to expect on the application.

Our platform.
Our fund is hosted by Douglas County Community Foundation, a 501(c)(3) community organization that hosts our application. When you begin the application, you'll be directed to their website and see this logo. You will land on a log in page and required to create an account. If you've applied before, you can use the same log in information.
The application.
There are only 10 questions on the application. We will not release the questions ahead of time. But, guys, this is easy stuff. We'll give you a hint: the first question is "Applicants' Names". There is nothing here that should stump you. It's just a quick collection of general information.
Prep your home study.
In the application, there will be a spot to upload your home study. We require the ENTIRE home study uploaded in ONE document that is less than 10MB in size. If your file is too large we recommend using a site such as SmallPDF.com to attempt to reduce the size. The entire document must clear and easy to read. The document must have all final signatures, all pages, and be approved through May 2019 to be valid. If you've had your home study renewed, we need the entire original home study UNLESS your renewal report contains all the original information (and was just updated as needed). Our board uses the home study documents to gather information about each family. If your document does not meet these standards, your application will not be accepted. Each home study is slightly different based on the preparer and the way they format their reports. So, if you're unsure if you should include additional reports/forms, we recommend providing us with everything. We'd rather have too much information than have to deny your application due to an insufficient home study.
Tech support.
So far, we haven't had any technical issues during our application process. (Knock on wood.) However, if you experience any issues you believe to impact your application, you can EMAIL US HERE as soon as possible. We'll be monitoring our email closely during the time the application is open.

What to expect after submitting your application.

Your application should NOT take longer than 5-10 minutes. No, really. It's that easy! You will receive an automated email from DCCF (Douglas County Community Foundation) similar to this one. That will confirm we've received your application. If you receive this email you can assume your application has been accepted.
However, if we review your application and it does NOT meet all the requirements (incomplete home study, for example), we will not accept your application and you will receive (also from DCCF) an email stating that we cannot accept your application. If your application is declined, you'll receive an email notification.
